Software Design Architect
The
role of the software design architect is to gather
sufficient information about the current operating
processes of the business domain in which the client
wishes to re-engineer. He would then propose different
designs to meet the client’s expectations.
The
applicant should have sufficient experience in the
design of real-time systems driven by the Internet. He
or she should be comfortable in using object oriented
design methodology as the basis for system design. At
the same time, he or she should be proficient in
developing interfaces to legacy systems across
multiple platforms.
The
candidate is expected to make presentations of his
findings and design proposals to senior management
members of client organisations. He or she is also
expected to draw up design specifications for the
calling of tenders. He is expected to supervise the
construction and testing of the proposed software to
ensure quality standards and conformance to design
specifications.
Requirements:
-
Degree
in Computer Science or equivalent
-
Post-graduation
qualification, e.g. MBA would be advantageous.
-
At
least 5 years' industry experience involving
hands-on application development.
-
Consulting
experience and exposure to large-scaled complex IT
environments will be an advantage

Consultant in Object
Oriented Design and Java Programming
With
the rapid penetration of e-commerce into every organization,
there is a need to re-design legacy applications to integrate
with the Internet.
The
role of the Consultant is to design courses in Object Oriented
software design and Java/EJB programming to enable in-house IT
professionals in large organizations to re-develop their
applications. He or she must be able to customize standard
teaching materials with specific case examples to make it
readily understandable to different industry segments, such as
banking, airlines, Government agencies and Statutory Boards.
He is expected to grade and conduct follow-up actions with
client organisations to make sure that the professionals being
trained have internalized the new IT development methodology.
Requirements:

Degree
in Computer Science or equivalent.

At
least 2 years' experience in OO Design and Programming using
UML and Booch, Jacobson & Rumbaugh methodology.

Eloquence,
confidence, excellent presentation and teaching skills to
deliver course materials.

Java and C++. Prior experience in some middleware
tools will be useful, such as WebSphere, WebLogic and
