Web Programming and Web Applications Development

Sample Case Studies :

Problem: A large retail site received dozens of phone calls and e-mails daily from customers asking about order shipment status. Staff had to look up customer number, cross-reference to UPS tracking number, and then contact the customer regarding shipment status.
Solution: A custom CGI script was  written to allow site visitors to enter their order number (supplied by the shopping cart system) into a simple form which was tied to the tracking database. Within seconds, the customer could see exactly where their package was enroute and even view a color-coded map showing approximate ground time-in-transit.

Problem: A retail site manually processed orders and maintaining customer lists. Customers were placing orders for items that were sold out.
Solution: Credit card orders was processed in real-time, inventory and customer orders were handled through a database. Quantity available was checked before allowing the customer to make the purchase.

Problem: A client maintaining an information and offer page, required to update the offer listings and the information on a regular basis. He also wanted to keep track of the visitors by getting their e-mail and name. He also wanted to send regular news letters on the basis of their selection options. He wanted e-mails to be sent to them automatically. He also wanted returning users to be taken straight to the offer or information page without logging in.
Solution: Web program was written to acomplish all the above tasks, allowing the site owner to add the new offers, update the information, track visitors, send out news letters and build the pages.

Problem: A client advertising on many other sites and search engines had to go to each site individually to obtain banner click-through reports. Client wanted a centralized method of tracking visits from each site.
Solution: A program was written that tracked visits from each site daily and monthly. This was later expanded to include e-mail newsletters and anything else that the customer's URL was included in, by simply embedding a unique code in the URL.

Problem: A retail site was processing hundreds of quote requests per day manually and needed a way to automate their responses while keeping them personalized.
Solution: A quotation system was designed to look up prices in a database and then add an easily customized message based on which item the customer requested a quote. System allows tracking of which items are being requested most often along with daily stats.

Problem: An exhibitor wanted to have all his calendar of exhibition events to be published on line and facilities for easy edits and updates.
Solution: An events calendar web application  was designed to store the events in a database and then user friendly forms were given to edit, delete or add events to it. The calendar pages were built by another program modules based on template files pulling events data from the database.

The above case studies are very few out of the many which are already implemented at many web sites.  If you have any kind of requirement then contact us to provide a better solution and a customised web application.
